SnapReceipt ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use our mobile application, SnapReceipt.
1 Data Collection
🛡️ We do not collect any personal data.
SnapReceipt processes receipt images and extracted data entirely on your device. All your receipts, expense records, and any other information you create are stored locally on your device only.
We do not:
- Collect, track, or store personal information on our servers
- Use analytics services or behavioral tracking
- Show personalized or third-party ads
- Upload your receipt images or financial data to any cloud service
2 AI & OCR Processing
SnapReceipt uses on-device AI to recognize brand names and categorize expenses, and on-device OCR to extract text from receipt images. This processing happens locally on your device and the results are stored only on your device.
We do not send your receipt images or extracted data to external AI services or third-party servers.
3 Data Storage
All data stays on your device. You have full control over your expense records and receipt images. If you delete the app, all saved data will also be permanently deleted unless you backed it up using your own device's backup feature (e.g. iCloud or iTunes).
4 No Third-Party Sharing
We do not share any information with third parties because we do not collect any. Your financial data and receipt information belong to you alone.
5 No Account Required
You do not need to create an account or provide any personal details to use SnapReceipt. The app works entirely offline with no sign-in required.
6 App Permissions
SnapReceipt may request minimal permissions such as:
- Camera access: To capture receipt photos directly in the app.
- Photo library access: To import existing receipt images from your gallery.
- Local storage: To save your receipts and expense records locally.
We only access the camera or photo library when you explicitly initiate a scan. We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, or any other sensitive data.
7 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if we add new features in the future. Any updates will be posted here with the updated effective date.
