Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AddressLabel handles contact information, export files, backups, duplicate cleanup, and optional Apple-managed services on iPhone.

Effective Date: April 24, 2026 | Last Updated: April 24, 2026

AddressLabel ("we", "our", or "us") is an iOS app for exporting contacts, choosing file formats, creating backups, and cleaning duplicate contacts. We designed the app to keep contact management simple and as private as practical.

1Contact Information You Access

When you grant permission, AddressLabel may read contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, company fields, notes, and contact photos depending on what exists in your iOS Contacts app and which export options you choose.

Core principle AddressLabel is intended to process contact export, backup, and duplicate cleanup on your device rather than through our own remote server infrastructure.

2Local Storage

Export files, contact backups, duplicate scan results, and format preferences are primarily stored on your device. If you remove the app, this locally stored data may be deleted unless it is included in device backups managed by Apple.

3Contacts Permission

AddressLabel requests access to Contacts only so you can export, back up, restore, inspect, or merge contact entries. You can deny or revoke Contacts permission at any time in iOS Settings. Some app features may be unavailable without this permission.

We do not operate a separate customer account system for AddressLabel.

4Exporting, Backup, and Sharing

When you export contacts as CSV, Excel, vCard, or JSON, or when you create a backup file, the selected contact data is written into the file you explicitly generate. If you share or save that file through the iOS share sheet, the destination app, storage provider, or recipient may process it according to its own policies.

5What We Do Not Sell

We do not sell your personal information. AddressLabel is not designed around advertising profiles, third-party data brokerage, social networking features, or public contact directories.

6Permissions

The app only uses the system capabilities needed to read contacts, create files, manage backups, and share output after you choose to do so. Depending on your iOS configuration and the features you use, Apple may provide access to Contacts, local file storage, the share sheet, or iCloud-related services.

  • Contacts: used to read contact details for export, backup, restore, and duplicate merging.
  • On-device storage: used to save export files, backup files, and app preferences.
  • Share sheet: used only when you choose to send, save, or open an exported file elsewhere.
  • Optional iCloud support: controlled through your Apple account and device settings.

7Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete export files, backup files, and saved settings from within the app or through iOS file management where applicable. You may also remove the app from your device to delete locally stored app data, subject to any Apple-managed backups or sync settings you have enabled.

8Children's Privacy

AddressLabel is a utility app and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. We do not knowingly require account registration, community posting, or public profile creation.

9Policy Updates

If the app's data handling changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in a future version of this policy.
