AtomicClock ("we", "our", or "us") is a precision atomic clock app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use AtomicClock on your device.
1 No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect or transmit any personal data.
AtomicClock contacts public NTP time servers to synchronize time. No personal information is sent or received during this process.
While you use AtomicClock, we do not:
- Collect or store personal identifiers
- Run third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
- Show targeted ads or share data with advertisers
- Upload usage activity to external servers
2 Network Usage (NTP Sync)
AtomicClock connects to public Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers — such as those operated by NIST, Apple, or other public time pools — solely to obtain the current atomic time. These requests do not contain any personal information and are indistinguishable from standard device time-sync traffic.
NTP sync can be disabled in settings; the app will then display your device's local time.
3 Local Data Storage
All settings — such as preferred clock face, timezone list, alarm configurations, and display preferences — are saved to your device's local storage only. Removing the app deletes this data unless you include AtomicClock in your device backups (e.g., iCloud or Finder backups).
4 No Account Required
You can use the full AtomicClock experience without creating an account or providing any personal information.
5 App Permissions
AtomicClock may request the following permissions:
- Network access: Required to query public NTP time servers for atomic time synchronization.
- Notifications: Optional, required only if you set alarms or timers.
- Local storage: Required to save your preferences and settings.
The app does not request access to your photos, contacts, camera, microphone, or location.
6 Children's Privacy
AtomicClock is suitable for users of all ages. Because we collect no personal information, the app is compliant with COPPA and other child privacy regulations.
7 Updates to This Policy
If we introduce new features that affect privacy, we will update this policy and adjust the effective date. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
